Hi Walter,

In recent versions for the Network logger (or the new name
"Debugging/Development Tools), there is a little red button in the top
of that panel, that you must press (if you hover your mouse over it, it
says "Record Log"). I have hit that issue before too, forgetting to hit
that button, and the log being empty.

I believe also when you have already loaded that tile in QGIS, it is
cached and will not appear in the log. Try to zoom into an area that you
haven't been before.

Then you should be able to see entries such as

   https://tile.openstreetmap.org/3/2/3.png
   https://tile.openstreetmap.org/3/2/4.png

Hope that helps a little,

PS. I strongly rely on that debugger, over the years, to test loading
various MapServer services that I setup (I record my steps at
https://github.com/MapServer/MapServer/wiki/Get-the-Raw-WMS-Request-Generated-by-QGIS
)

-jeff
