GI_Forum & AGIT become GI_Salzburg

More compact, more focused and more room for dialogue: after two years of digital and hybrid experiences, the largest Geoinformatics conference returns with a new concept, fresh branding and compact formats. GI_Forum and the German-language AGIT will be merged under the new brand "GI_Salzburg". All information about the symposium and the EXPO is now available at www.gi-salzburg.org<http://www.gi-salzburg.org>.

With this message, we would like to share our current call for Papers with you and ask you to share it within your network.

The idea behind the motto Designing Future for Geoinformatics
The world is changing. Not just since yesterday, and not surprisingly either. Nevertheless, we are confronted with dynamic transformation processes that massively affect us as a society and our environment. What are the major challenges and megatrends in the coming years and how can we meet them with geoinformatics?
The GIS community is already working on shaping our future, supported by spatial information.
Digital city, mobility of the future or climate change and global migration are just a few examples that have one thing in common: the spatial context, through which many questions but also perspectives are interlinked. And this is what we should talk about - in the Forum for Geoinformatics. GI_Salzburg 2022 offers a lot of space for dialogues and an experience for experts from many application fields.
Let's shape the future together - with Geoinformatics!

GI_Salzburg 2022 - what's new
To ensure that the changes are not only superficial, but can also be experienced on site, we are working with new formats and exciting ways of imparting knowledge and interaction for our conference visitors.
This year, for example, we want to focus on selected key topics that we consider exciting and important in discussions and exchanges with each other. Formats and presentations will be more compact to allow more time for discussion.

Kompakter, fokussierter und mehr Raum für Dialoge: Nach zwei Jahren voller digitaler und hybrider Erfahrungen meldet sich die größte Geoinformatik Konferenz mit neuem Konzept, frischem Branding und kompakten Formaten zurück. Die AGIT und das englischsprachige GI_Forum werden unter der neuen Marke "GI_Salzburg" zusammengeführt. In dieser Email möchten wir Details zu unserem aktuellen Call for Papers mitteilen, mit der Bitte diesen in Ihren Netzwerken zu verbreiten.

Die Idee hinter dem Motto Designing Future with Geoinformatics
Die Welt befindet sich im Wandel. Nicht erst seit gestern und auch nicht überraschend. Trotzdem sehen wir uns mit dynamischen Transformationsprozessen konfrontiert, die uns als Gesellschaft und unsere Umwelt massiv betreffen. Wie sehen die großen Herausforderungen und Megatrends in den nächsten Jahren aus und wie können wir Ihnen mit Geoinformatik begegnen?
Schon heute arbeitet die GIS Community gestützt durch räumliche Information an der Gestaltung unserer Zukunft.
Digitale Stadt, Mobilität der Zukunft oder Klimawandel und globale Migration sind nur einige Beispiele, die eines gemeinsam haben: den räumlichen Kontext, über den viele Fragen aber auch Perspektiven vernetzt sind. Damit die Änderungen nicht nur nach außen sichtbar, sondern auch vor Ort erlebbar werden, arbeiten wir mit neuen Formaten und spannenden Wegen der Wissensvermittlung und Interaktion für unsere Konferenzbesucher.
So wollen wir dieses Jahr unseren Fokus auf ausgewählte Schwerpunkte legen, die wir in der Diskussion und im Austausch miteinander als spannend und wichtig erachten. Formate und Vorträge werden kompakter, um mehr Zeit für Diskussionen zu erlauben.
